Hmm...looks like the server was just restarted because new features were added or something else was updated.

What exactly is the process for making my characters look the same, or at least somewhat consistent, in all images generated with Midjourney?

Is there a special prompt that works for something like this?

Just a note, making face consistent is usually different from making full body characters. Maybe as text to image AI gets better, this will be possible in a more natural way, or there will be a special "likeness" feature in Midjourney. Ghost Together 5 Aug 2023 00:46 AM

Here's a prompt you can use as a starting point to create a consistent character sheet:

little witch character, multiple poses and expressions, children's book illustration style, simple, cute, full colour, purple shoes, purple hat with stars, purple hooded dress, purple clothes, long black hair, flat colour, --no outline

The key is to use multiple poses and expressions phrase, this will create multiple characters in one image. Cut out the characters that match your vision using Photoshop. Then use each individual image in a multiple image prompt in all future steps.

This prompt will generate a set of characters in different poses, with consistent clothes or outfit. Keep this prompt structure, but replace character description to your own. For a more detailed tutorial, see the link below.

To generate consistent faces:

  • Start prompt with a URL image describing character's face.
  • Use an image prompt with your reference photo to generate your first image.
  • Use same image prompt as a starting point to generate all future prompts.
  • Use the same --seed parameter.
  • Use clear, consistent descriptions of facial features in the text part of your prompt.
  • Describe the character in as much detail as possible.
  • Avoid conflicting keywords.

It's impossible to achieve 100% consistent characters all the time with Midjourney. One of the techiques is to actually continue regenerating the prompt until the character looks more or less the same to the original. However, there are some things you can do to improve the process and increase the chances of producing a consistent character.

Here's a link with step by step process that works in many cases:
