How To Use Chat GPT-4 For Free (Chat GPT4 Free Access)

Free Chat GPT probably doesn't exist in pristine form for free. Even the low cost platforms encourage you to pay for tokens, to cover API costs. No one can provide ChatGPT 4 for free due to the fact that GPT 4 API call costs anywhere between 10 to 25 cents. That would quickly drain resources of any company that says it offers Chat GPT 4 for free.

This platform Ghost Together offers a form of GPT AI for free. Plans to provide Chat GPT 4 for free in 2024 are still uncertain. But it might happen with enough platform support.

But at least it has a nice private ChatGPT interface in Direct Messages.

Update 2: At this point there are no free GPT-4 bots out there, due to how much it costs to pay for the API. There is no such thing as free GPT4. However, watch the video, to see the platforms that are closest to free (you only pay a fraction of what you would on OpenAI account.) Or they offer low cost tokens, which you can use to gradually use GPT4 on demand, without paying a monthly fee. It's worth it because GPT4 is much more powerful than GPT3, and provides more creative, accurate and granular information.

Update 1: So the reason no platform offers GPT4 for free is because a GPT4 API call costs about 0.5c - 0.10c on average and can reach up to 0.25c or more. So as you can see, offering it for free on a mass scale is not affordable even for platform owners.

Update: Nat.dev was best free GPT-4 tester until March 31st, it's now minimum $5.

You can now use GPT-3.5 turbo for free at Ghost Together which is also an app.

(Allegedly they're adding GPT-4 soon as they clear from OpenAI API wait list.)

March 31, 2023: nat.dev has just changed to paid $4 access. But it's still not only the cheapest paid GPT (and all other ai models) solution, but also the best one.

Can you use GPT-4 for free right now?

Yes. To use GPT-4 for free, follow these steps:

• Navigate to nat.dev in your browser.
• Enter your email, your real phone number (do not use free number apps) and sign up for a free account.
• Enter verification code that was sent to your phone.
• Once on Playground dashboard, click checkbox next to GPT-4 model on right sidebar.
• Enter your GPT-4 prompt into text area and click green Submit button.

(Sorry, but image analysis feature isn't there yet. It isn't even available in most ChatGPT Plus accounts. Image prompts will be rolled out later this year, possibly within a month or so.)

Currently this is the best way to get Chat GPT 4 free access right now.

While this is not exactly a GPT 4 free download, there is nothing to download. All you have to do is sign up for a free account and verify it with a real phone number.

(Don't use free phone apps to sign up, you won't be able to register or login.) Once registered, enter your GPT 4 login to start using it, same way you would with ChatGPT Plus.

Due to many sites adopting GPT 4, you can get free access, while at least one gives you free unlimited prompts. The best one right now is nat.dev developed by Nat Friedman.

Nat is paying for the GPT 4 API, in return for enormous amount of traffic leading to his Discord channel, but it's free for you. But hey, someone always has to pay, right?

Currently access is unlimited, and you can even run multiple AI chatbots on the same dashboard. But I am not sure for how long, and whether the dashboard will become limited in the future.

Due to increasingly growing demand, Nat might place limitations on the number of times you can execute GPT 4 model prompts. But as of right now, you can use it completely for free.

This is a developing story! I'm closely monitoring various GPT-4 based apps that have been coming out, and will update this article accordingly.

There are two other ways of using Chat GPT 4 for free: Bing and Poe.

But poe/gpt-f only gives you 1 free GPT-4 message per day

(It's not a lot but it's something.)

How To Use GPT-4 For Free (With Bing's Chat Or Poe)

You have several free options with limited access. But it's still better than nothing, especially if you still don't want to pay for ChatGPT Plus, which currently stands at $20 USD per month.

Microsoft's new Bing search engine comes with GPT-4 results on the sidebar.

But you can't just use the bing's domain name, you need to go to the new Chat tab.

However, Bing's Chat tab is available only for those who signed up for new Bing's waitlist.

In my experience, being approved for the waitlist was instant. So it's not a big problem.

To Use Chat GPT 4 For Free with Bing search engine, follow These Steps:

• Go to Microsoft's new Bing search engine (bing.com/new)
• Apply to be on the Bing's waitlist by clicking on the join button.
• Wait to be approved, which is usually instant.
• Once approved, scroll down the page and click on example search results.
• Try to type a search query, but form it as a Chat GPT-4 prompt.
• Watch complementary GPT-4 prompt results on sidebar.

It's a bit of a cumbersome way of using GPT-4 for free, but it's better than nothing, especially if you just want to test its creativity and not interested in advanced features.

To use ChatGPT 4 for free with the multi-model Poe app:

• Go to the Quora's Poe chatbot app website.
• Click GPT-4 button, and type your message.
• Note that GPT-4 prompts are limited to 1 free message per day.

How Much Does The Paid Version of Chat GPT-4 Cost?

The paid version of Chat GPT-4 is $20 USD. But there are various web applications built using Chat GPT API, that can provide you access to the same chatbot with GPT-4 model for less, at a discount, or for free.

The catch? Usually most of these apps use GPT-4 with limited access as a bait for their paid plan. But it's enough to get started, or just to see results produced by GPT-4 prompts.

How To Use GPT-4 For Free With Microsoft's Bing Search Engine

Microsoft's Bing search engine has recently experienced an upgrade. They added GPT-4 prompt result on the sidebar to the right of their search results, which will trigger a GPT-4 response (just like the paid version but free.) This prompt will mimic whatever search query was entered into Bing search engine.

To use GPT 4 with Bing, you need to enter the new chat mode first.

Bing's chat mode is only available when you have access to the new Bing.

You can apply for the waitlist, but for me, access was instant right after I clicked apply button.

Once on the new Bing's dashboard, scroll down, click on any of the pre-made search queries, and they will take you to the Bing's search results page that will display additional GPT-4 prompt results on the sidebar.

To use chat GPT-4 for free with Bing search engine's "Chat" mode:

• Go to Microsoft's Bing search engine.
• Type a search query, but form it as a Chat GPT-4 prompt.
• Watch complementary GPT-4 prompt results on sidebar.

How To Use GPT-4 Once A Day For Free With Poe

Poe (poe.com/gpt-4) is Quora's AI app that provides multiple models (Sage, GPT3, Dragonfly, Claude and Claude+) on one page.

To use Chat GPT-4 for free on Poe site:

• Navigate to Poe's Homepage.
• Click GPT-4 button, and type your message.
• Note that GPT-4 prompts are limited to 1 free message per day.

Use GPT-4 With WriterSonic

Many new apps are coming out right now that use GPT-4 API. You might have to search around to find out what they are.

These websites provide access to GPT-4 prompts, usually for the same or reduced price. Some give access to GPT-4 for free, but usually with their own limits, for example, lack of prompts that can read content of an image, or limited time use.

One of these apps is WriterSonic. It's especially helpful if you are planning on using GPT-4 for writing and publishing articles, as their UI is made for creating article outlines and having the chatbot finish the article for you.
